Resilience Workshop

On 27th November Marjorie Temperley came to a themed support session on increasing resiliance. There was no internet available for the talk but Marjorie has kindly shared her powerpoint for us to click the links and watch the videos. (click the download button below)

Once again Marjorie was able to share her experience with us in a highly informative workshop. We will definitely be inviting Marjorie back to talk again and welcome suggestions for topics you might like her to cover.

Emotional Literacy Workshops REVISED START DATE 12 MARCH (Banchory)

Emotional Literacy Workshops in Banchory

‘Understanding our emotions, recognising their influence on us and learning to express them appropriately and accurately are all key to getting along well with others and achieving our goals in life. In this 3-part course we will look at the crucial role we can play as parents and carers in helping children to gain these important skills of emotional literacy. We explore ways in which we can encourage children to develop awareness of their emotions. We’ll take a closer look at emotional reactions and see how a framework for understanding them can also be a great help for us as parents, not only to assist our children but also in helping us to maintain our own balance in the face of very challenging behaviours and circumstances.’

The 3-part course will be led by Jill Birch, local Mum of four and an Outdoor and Forest School Practitioner, working with children of all ages. Jill has worked previously as a long-term volunteer with Nature Nurture, an early intervention programme for vulnerable and disadvantaged children based at Camphill, Aberdeen.
