SCILL Library
The SCILL library is an excellent resource for parents, professionals and children.
We have books in the following categories:
- ADHD
- Autistic Spectrum Disorders
- Behaviour and Emotion
- Dyslexia
- Dyspraxia/DCD
- General
- Dyscalculia/Maths
- Movement
- Study Skills
Library books are available at our coffee mornings at Hill of Banchory Community Centre and at support sessions in the evenings.
A themed selection of books is available at evening meetings and workshops.
Our library is available for members to borrow (membership free and open to all). Items can be borrowed from SCILL events where our library is present, or email us admin@scill-aberdeenshire.org.uk to reserve items for collection at an Aberdeenshire library branch of your choice. Books can be borrowed for a month at a time and returned to any SCILL event or any Aberdeenshire library branch. Please note books can no longer be returned to Hill of Banchory Primary School. If you would like to keep the item/s for longer you may renew up to a total borrowing period of 3 months, just send us an email. Items must be reserved through SCILL and not the library. A maximum of 4 items may be reserved at any one time.
Our educational toys/games and activity books for children are not available through Aberdeenshire Libraries but are available along with the rest of the library at our own library sessions at Hill of Banchory Community Education Centre, at our regular coffee/support/library sessions – see ‘Events’ page for specific dates.
